NEI Investments (NEI) is a mutual fund company that is committed to making excellent, independent portfolio managers accessible to Canadian retail investors through three competitive fund families: NEI Funds, Northwest Funds and Ethical Funds. With true active management and a relentless, disciplined focus on risk management, NEI strives to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns to investors as they work toward their financial goals and a secure future.

In addition to offering smart investment choices through some of the elite portfolio managers in the industry, we take special pride in our commitment to providing the highest level of service, expertise and support to investors and to the financial advisors who serve them.

NEI is also home to Canada's largest team of in-house socially responsible investing specialists who, as our ESG Services Team, provide environmental, social and governance (ESG) analysis to portfolio managers of socially responsible investments, including NEI's own Ethical Funds.

Corporate Social Responsibility

NEI is a fully Canadian company, owned 50% by Desjardins Group and 50% by the Provincial Credit Union Centrals. This backing of experience and support provides NEI with stability and the resources to actively pursue business growth through credit unions and independent financial advisors across Canada. This strategic partnership has created a national investment firm that today manages over $6 billion in investor assets.

Investment Management Solutions

NEI makes every effort to engage some of the most seasoned and forward-looking investment managers in the industry today. These managers are chosen through a rigorous selection process and managed through ongoing monitoring. Every investment product offered by NEI is designed to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns over the long term. View Portfolio Manager Selection Process.

Fixed administration fees

NEI is the first mid-sized fund company in Canada to offer fixed administration fees — part of our continued effort to improve accountability to investors and set a high industry standard. Fixing administration fees helps to improve transparency of costs and can reduce the variability of management expense ratios. And as the company grows, we are committed to reducing expenses and passing the benefits on to investors.
