Investment Approach

Global Equities

Impax employs a Growth at a Reasonable Price (GARP) bottom up stock selection process. It begins with a proprietary resource optimization screen of the sustainable global investment universe. Quantitative financial metrics scoring, qualitative business assessment and an integrated ESG process are all utilized to uncover global stocks with long-term intrinsic value. A robust 10 step due diligence analysis ensure s high conviction stocks that are positioned to benefit from the favorable policy environment and potential performance drivers, such as M&A activity. Top down macro views for sustainable sectors and sub-sectors direct portfolio weightings.

Global Fixed Income

Impax Asset Management employs a four-pronged approach to sustainable fixed income investing. It begins with credit quality analysis across fixed income classes to identify issuers set to benefit from the transition to a more sustainable economy. Proprietary ESG analysis aims to manage fundamental and governance risks. Diversification across sectors is ensured through strict position size management based on relative value, risk and liquidity analysis. Engagement strategies are designed to encourage issuers to adopt higher ESG standards.
